Price Trace Lines

Trace lines are horizontal lines that connect the current (most recent) candle in the anchor timeframe back to the corresponding price level on your main chart. They help you instantly see where the higher-timeframe Open, Close, High, and Low sit relative to your current price action.

Master Toggle

  • Show Price Trace Lines β€” Turn all trace lines on or off.

Individual Line Settings

Each of the four trace lines (Open, Close, High, Low) has independent settings:

Line
Settings

Open Trace Line

Color, Style (solid/dashed/dotted), Width (1–4)

Close Trace Line

Color, Style, Width

High Trace Line

Color, Style, Width

Low Trace Line

Color, Style, Width

Defaults: all are gray, dotted, width 1.

Trace Line Anchor

  • Setting: Trace Line Anchor

  • Options: First Timeframe or Last Timeframe

This determines which timeframe the trace lines connect to:

  • First Timeframe β€” Trace lines draw from the first (leftmost) timeframe group. Useful when your lowest HTF is your primary reference.

  • Last Timeframe β€” Trace lines draw from the last (rightmost) timeframe group. Useful when your highest HTF is your primary reference for bias.

Candle Price Labels

When enabled, small labels appear at the right edge of the anchor timeframe's current candle, displaying the exact price value for each OHLC level.

Timeframe Labels and Timers

Timeframe Labels

Displayed above each group of candles, showing the timeframe period in a compact format (e.g., 5m, 15m, 1H, 1D, 1W).

Timeframe Timers

Displayed below the timeframe label, showing a countdown until the current candle in that timeframe closes. Format adapts automatically: SS β†’ MM:SS β†’ HH:MM:SS β†’ XD HH:MM:SS.

Note: Timers only update in real-time. On historical bars, they display "n/a".

Imbalance Detection

The indicator can highlight two types of price imbalances directly on the higher-timeframe candles:

Fair Value Gaps (FVG)

A Fair Value Gap occurs when there is a gap between the wicks of two non-adjacent candles (candle 1 and candle 3), indicating an area where price moved aggressively and left unfilled space.

Setting
Default

Show Fair Value Gaps

On

Fair Value Gap Color

Gray (80% transparency)

FVGs appear as shaded boxes overlaid on the candle group, highlighting the price zone that was skipped.

Volume Imbalances (VI)

A Volume Imbalance occurs when adjacent candle bodies don't overlap but their wicks do, creating a small gap between the bodies. This indicates strong directional momentum.

Setting
Default

Show Volume Imbalances

On

Volume Imbalance Color

Red (50% transparency)

Volume Imbalances appear as colored boxes between the relevant candles.

Trading Tip: Both FVGs and VIs are areas where price often returns to "fill" or "rebalance." They can serve as potential support/resistance zones, entry targets, or areas to watch for reaction.
