Getting Started

πŸ“ˆ Visual Overview

After adding the EZ Volume Profile to your chart, you’ll see a horizontal histogram overlay on your price chart. This histogram represents the volume traded at each price level within your selected range.

  • πŸ“Š Longer bars = more volume traded at that price

  • The profile forms a distinct shape often referred to as a market profile or volume profile

  • This shape helps you visualize where market participants are most active

βœ… This provides key insight into market structure, institutional interest, and potential trade zones.

🧠 Core Concepts

To effectively use the EZ Volume Profile, it’s important to understand the following foundational components:

🎯 Point of Control (POC)

  • The POC is the price level where the highest volume was traded within the selected range

  • It represents the most agreed-upon fair value by market participants

  • Visually marked as a horizontal line across your chart

  • Often acts as a strong support/resistance level

πŸ“¦ Value Area

The Value Area encompasses the price range where a specified percentage of all volume occurred (default: 68%).

  • Value Area High (VAH) – Upper boundary

  • Value Area Low (VAL) – Lower boundary

This range captures where most trading occurred and often serves as a containment zone for price action.

πŸŸ₯🟩 Delta Profile

The Delta Profile displays the difference between buying and selling volume at each price level.

  • 🟩 Green bars – More buying volume β†’ bullish pressure

  • πŸŸ₯ Red bars – More selling volume β†’ bearish pressure

This helps you identify aggressive buyers/sellers at specific price levels and gauge directional bias.
