The EZ Volume Profile offers a rich set of customization features that allow you to tailor the display to your trading style and visual preferences.
๐ Delta Profile
Toggle: Show Delta Profile
Purpose:
When enabled: Shows buying vs. selling volume (color-coded)
When disabled: Displays total volume only, regardless of direction
โ Helps you visually distinguish between bullish and bearish pressure at each price level.
๐ POC, VAH, VAL Display
Toggles:
Show Point of Control (POC)
Show Value Area (VAH/VAL)
Shade Value Area
Purpose:
Highlights key reference levels for support and resistance
Optionally shade the Value Area for visual emphasis
๐ท๏ธ Price Labels
Toggle: Show Price Labels
Setting: Label Offset
Purpose:
Displays exact price values of profile lines
Allows label spacing from chart edge for clarity
๐ Profile Range Settings
โณ Lookback Period
Setting: Lookback Bars (Custom)
Range: 10 to 1000 bars
Purpose: Defines how far back the profile analyzes historical volume
๐ฏ Custom Price Range
Toggle: Use Custom Price Range
Setting: Custom Range %
Purpose: Focus analysis on a central zone around current price instead of full high-low range
๐ Scale Type
Toggle: Use Logarithmic Scale
Purpose: Improves visual accuracy for assets with large price ranges
๐งฎ Value Area %
Setting: Value Area %
Range: 50% to 90% (Default: 68%)
Purpose: Adjust how much volume is included in the Value Area
๐จ Visual Configuration
๐ Horizontal Settings
Histogram Length:
Range: 10 to 100
Purpose: Controls how far the histogram extends from the edge of the chart
Volume Bar Size:
Range: 1 (Tiny) to 4 (Large)
Purpose: Adjusts bar thickness of the profile
๐จ Color Settings
Text Color: Labels & POC line
Frame: Boundary outlines of the profile
Total Volume: Color for bars when Delta Profile is off
Buy Delta: Color for bullish volume
Sell Delta: Color for bearish volume
VAH/VAL Colors: Lines for Value Area High/Low
Value Area Shade: Background fill between VAH and VAL
๐ Session Types
The EZ Volume Profile supports three session modes for dynamic recalculation:
Daily:
Resets every new trading day
๐ Ideal for day traders
Weekly:
Resets each trading week
๐ Useful for swing traders
Custom Bars:
Uses a fixed number of historical bars (via Lookback Bars)
๐ Best for fully custom timeframe analysis
๐ Statistics Panel
Provides real-time numeric insight into the volume profile:
POC Value โ Exact price of Point of Control
VAH / VAL โ Value Area High and Low
HVN Price โ High Volume Node (2nd highest concentration)
LVN Price โ Low Volume Node (lowest concentration within VA)
Total Volume โ All volume in selected profile
Buy/Sell Delta โ Separated buying/selling volume
Delta % โ Net delta as a percent of total volume
