⁉️FAQ

Q: Does the portfolio tracker execute trades?

A: No. EZ Portfolio Tracker is a monitoring and alert tool only. It does not place, modify, or close any trades. You enter your positions manually, and the dashboard tracks their performance.

Q: Can I track assets from different exchanges?

A: Yes. Each ticker slot accepts any symbol available on TradingView, from any exchange. You can mix stocks, crypto, forex, and commodities in a single portfolio.

Q: Why does my asset name look different on the dashboard?

A: The dashboard automatically cleans up ticker names for readability by removing exchange prefixes (e.g., "BINANCE:") and common quote currency suffixes (USD, USDT, USDC, etc.).

Q: What happens if I view a chart for an asset that's in my portfolio?

A: The dashboard highlights the matching row so you can quickly identify which portfolio position corresponds to the chart you're currently viewing.

Q: How is "Today %" calculated?

A: It compares the current price to yesterday's daily close price, giving you the day's percentage change for each asset and for the portfolio as a whole.

Q: Can I use this on any timeframe?

A: Yes. The portfolio data (prices, P&L, values) updates regardless of the chart timeframe. The "Today %" column always uses the daily close for comparison.

Q: How do alert resets work?

A: If a price drops back below your alert threshold after triggering, the alert resets. This means it will fire again the next time the threshold is crossed, preventing you from missing repeated opportunities.

Q: What is PnL Weight?

A: PnL Weight shows how much each individual position contributes to your total portfolio profit or loss. A position with a high PnL Weight is having the biggest impact β€” positive or negative β€” on your overall results.
