βTrading Tips & F&Q
Confluence is king. When multiple VWAP timeframes cluster near the same price level, that zone becomes a high-probability support or resistance area.
VWAP as trend filter. Price above the VWAP = bullish bias. Price below = bearish bias. Use higher timeframe VWAPs (Monthly, Yearly) to confirm your directional bias.
Band 3 mean reversion. When price reaches Band 3, it's statistically extended. Look for reversal candle patterns and volume divergence for mean reversion entries back toward VWAP.
Previous VWAPs as magnets. Price frequently retests the previous period's VWAP. These make excellent target levels for take-profit orders.
Anchor to events. Use the Custom Anchor Date to analyze price behavior since earnings, Fed meetings, or significant breakouts. This tells you whether participants from that event are in profit or loss.
Use label-only mode for clean charts. If you want to track a level without visual clutter, enable the VWAP but set it to Label Only. You'll see the price on the right side without the line on the chart.
FAQ
Q: How many VWAPs can I display at once? A: You can display the Main VWAP, 4H, 12H, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, 3M, and Yearly VWAPs all simultaneously, each with their Band 1 levels and previous period values.
Q: Can I use this on any asset? A: Yes. EZ Algo VWAPs works on stocks, crypto, forex, commodities, indices β any asset on TradingView that has volume data.
Q: Why do some VWAPs not show on higher timeframes? A: A VWAP needs a lower timeframe to calculate properly. For example, a Daily VWAP won't display meaningful data on the Weekly chart because there aren't enough intra-period bars. Use VWAPs with periods equal to or greater than your chart timeframe.
Q: What does "Text-Only Labels" do? A: It removes the colored background box from price labels, leaving just the text. This gives a cleaner, more minimalist appearance.
Q: Can I use custom anchor dates with the additional VWAPs? A: Yes. When "Use Custom Anchor Date" is enabled, the anchor applies to all VWAP calculations across every timeframe.
Q: How do I reduce chart clutter? A: Start with only the timeframes relevant to your trading style. Use Label-Only mode for secondary levels. Disable Band 2 and Band 3 if you only need Band 1. Position the dashboard in a corner that doesn't overlap price action.
